Jan. 5, 2019: Rick & Morty Vol. 8 Signing

Marc Ellerby appears at Forbidden Planet to sign Rick and Morty Vol. 8 on Saturday 5th January from 1 – 2pm!

The hit comic book series based on Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland’s hilarious animated show RICK AND MORTY continues in all-new stories not seen on TV!

Dec. 14, 2018: The Batman Who Laughs #1 Signing

Artist Jock will be signing the first issue of The Batman Who Laughs at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore at 6:00pm on Friday 14th December.

Left rattled by the events of Dark Nights: Metal, Bruce Wayne must come face to face with the nightmares spawned from the Dark Multiverse. But even though evil devoured evil in the collapse of Challengers Mountain, the Dark Knight still has his doubts.

He discovers that the Batman Who Laughs not only survived the fight with The Joker at the end of Metal, but now he is enacting a sinister plan across the Multiverse – something both terrifying and oddly familiar.

Mark Simpson – better known as Jock – began his career at 2000AD and has worked on The Losers, Green Arrow, Hellblazer and many more. He has also worked as a Concept Designer on a number of films – including Dredd, X-Men: Days Of Future Past and Star Wars: The Last Jedi – as well as a range of movie posters for Mondo.

Dec. 12, 2018: Luke Cage: Everyman Signing

Writer Anthony Del Col signs LUKE CAGE EVERYMAN at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore on Wednesday 12th December from 1 – 2pm.

Anthony Del Col is a best-selling writer of comics, audio dramas, and scripts for television and stage. He is the co-creator of the award-winning comic book series, Kill Shakespeare (IDW), the video-game spin-off Assassin’s Creed: Origins (Titan Comics), the contraversial WWII thriller Son of Hitler (Image) and the just-released Luke Cage: Everyman (Marvel). His audio drama Unheard: The Story of Anna Winslow, debuted at #1 in late 2017, breaking download records.

Dec. 6, 2018: DIE #1 Signing

Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans appear at Forbidden Planet to sign DIE #1 on Thursday 6th December from 6 – 7pm.

DIE is a pitch-black fantasy where a group of forty-something adults have to deal with the returning unearthly horror they barely survived as teenage role-players. If Kieron’s in a rush, he describes it as ‘Goth Jumanji’. That only captures a sliver of what you’ll find in oversized debut issue—where fantasy gets all too real.

Kieron Gillen’s writing career has included PC Gamer and just about every other video game magazine, as well as his comics titles Phonogram, Young Avengers, and The Wicked + The Divine. He’s been writing for Marvel since 2008, on titles including Thor, Journey Into Mystery, Uncanny X-Men, and Iron Man. His Marvel work from 2015 includes Darth Vader and Angela. For Avatar Press, he’s written incredibly serious WW2 superhero book Uber, and Mercury Heat. His other works for Image include the Spartan Slave Hunt story, Three.

Stephanie Hans is a seasoned illustrator, who mostly for the comic books mainstream market with clients such as MARVEL, DC COMICS, DARK HORSE, VALIANT, DYNAMITE, IMAGE COMICS, VERTIGO, BOOM STUDIOS. She also works on cover art for young adult novels.

The exclusive limited edition Forbidden Planet ‘pure-art’ cover, featuring Stephanie Hans’ stunning art will be available at the event.
