May 20, 2017: Generation X Signing

Writer Christina Strain (Syfy’s The Magicians, former colorist on Marvel’s Runaways, Thor, X-Men, and many more) appears at Galaxy of Comics on Saturday, May 20th at 10:00 AM to sign the first issue of Marvel’s Generation X!

Sept. 7, 2016: Cyborg: Rebirth #1 Signing

Galaxy of Comics Proudly Presents Writer John Semper Jr SIGNING his new book, Cyborg: Rebirth #1, September 7th, 2016!!!

* Victor Stone was once a star athlete and brilliant student with a bright future. But after a tragic accident destroyed over half of his body, Victor was kept alive by merging flesh with advanced technology. Today he is the Justice League co-founder called Cyborg. But is the young hero a man…or a machine that merely believes it’s a man?

JOHN SEMPER JR (writer, Spider-Man: The Animated Series, Static Shock) is a screenwriter, producer and story editor with numerous credits in animation for television. He has worked for such diverse companies as Disney Studios, Warner Bros. Animation and Hanna-Barbera Productions during a career which has involved the development of projects for Jim Henson, George Lucas, Stan Lee, Rob Minkoff and others. Semper even created the English-language dialogue for two of Hayao Miyazaki’s acclaimed animated features, Laputa: Castle in the Sky (1986) and Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989) and we are so excited to have him in-store!

July 9, 2016: Supergirl at Super Hero High Signing

Galaxy of Comics proudly presents writer Lisa Yee signing her new book, Supergirl at Super Hero High, Saturday, July 9th, 2016 from 5:00 till 7:00 PM!

Supergirl is the new girl in school—and she just also happens to be the most powerful teenager in the galaxy! Wonder Woman, other new friends, and a kindly librarian make her feel welcome, but breached inter-dimensional portals, invading alien armies, and bad dreams shake her confidence. It’s not easy being a superhero and a high school student all at once! Readers of all ages can fly high with the all-new adventures of Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, and some of the world’s most iconic female super heroes as high schoolers!

LISA YEE is the author of many popular middle grade books, including Wonder Woman at Super Hero High, Warp Speed, Millicent Min, Girl Genius as well as several American Girl books for young readers, and the YA novel The Kidney Hypothetical! Lisa has also hosted the 2013 Children’s Choice Book Awards and she has promised to stick around for the Girls’ Night Out we will be holding immediately after the signing!

Galaxy of Comics proudly presents comic book legend LEN WEIN (co-creator of Swamp Thing, Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus) signing his new book, SWAMP THING #1, from DC Comics, Saturday, January 9th, 2016, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM!
