Dec. 16, 2017: The Flash Co-Writers Signing

Writers Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn appear at Fantastic Worlds Comics on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from noon till 5:00 PM for a signing. All back issues and graphic novels written by either author will be 20% off during the signing!

Mark Waid has written for every major comic publisher, including DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Archie, Dark Horse, Image and Top Cow. He is best known for his long run as writer on the monthly adventures of The Flash and for his work with artist Alex Ross on the best-selling Kingdom Come. His credits also include JLA, 52, The Brave and the Bold, and Legion of Super-Heroes for DC Comics as well as Black Widow, Daredevil, X-Men, and Fantastic Four for Marvel Comics. He is currently writing for Captain America, The Avengers, and Champions.

Brian Augustyn has spent 33 years in the business. At DC Comics he was an editor of Flash, Justice League, and Wonder Woman. Some of Brian’s notable works include Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (which has been made into an animated film to be released this winter), Batman: Master of the Future, Crimson, and Out There. Brian currently hosts a weekly podcast, Sort of a Big Show.

As co-writers, Brian and Mark scripted The Crusaders for DC/Impact in 1992, Painkiller Jane and Ash: Cinder & Smoke for Event Comics in 1997, X-O Manowar for Valiant Comics in 1997–1998, and JLA: Year One for DC in 1998–1999. In addition, after leaving as editor in 1996, Augustyn teamed with Waid to co-write The Flash for two stretches, from 1996–1997 and then again from 1998–2000. They collaborated on The Life Story of the Flash graphic novel and co-wrote the story in The Flash #142.

March 8, 2017: Joe Jusko Signing

Fantastic Worlds Comics and CBCS Comics are bringing Marvel Legend Joe Jusko to the store on March 8th from 3-8 pm. CBCS will be on site to verify signatures. Ungraded signatures are free (see below for CBCS witnessed signature fee), prints and available art will be available for purchase! If you haven’t picked up any of Juskos current corner box variants we will have some for purchase! Also joining us will be Masterpiece Theatre. You don’t want to miss this!
