Star Comics was run by L.B. Cole, a man who put great faith in bright colors and striking cover designs. A typical Star issue would have an eye-opening surreal coverr in swiriling black and orange and green, and included work from Jay Disbrow, L.B. Cole, Ken Battefield, George Peltz, Rudy Palais, Vera Henkel, and Howard Larsen.
