Dewey's Comic City hasn't shared any upcoming events with us lately.
Artists Jan Duursema, Tom Mandrake and more appear at Dewey’s Comic City on Saturday, August 19th from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
Jan Duursema: Star Wars: Legacy, Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi, numerous Star Wars series for Dark Horse; co-created Arion, Lord of Atlantis and drew the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons for for three years for DC Comics; a Kubert School graduate Jan currently is an instructor at the school.
Tom Mandrake: Batman, The Spectre, and Swamp Thing for DC Comics, The Punisher, The Hulk Unchained, and The New Mutants for Marvel Comics, as well as work for many other publishers; a Kubert School graduate where Tom currently is an instructor.
Sian Mandrake: freelance artist and teacher; currently a penciller on the “7 Deadly Sinners” project by Chuck Dixon as well as illustrating a soon to be announced children’s book
Jack Mandrake: A freelance artist and designer, Jack begins his first year at the Kubert School this fall semester.
Justin Prokowich: Kubert class of 2013; works as a freelance artist and designer.

Veteran comic book artist Tom Raney will be on hand sketching, meeting fans and signing copies of his current project DREAD GODS from Ominous Press! In addition Tom will be selling prints and original art as well as accepting commissions.
Tom’s most recent work is on DREAD GODS, the first limited series from Ominous Press (published through IDW), a series set in a science-fiction/fantasy universe of epic heroes and insidious villains. In DREAD GODS, gods in a fantasy world discover they’re actually monsters in a post-apocalyptic landscape. Issue #1 is currently in stock and available for purchase and issue #2 should be out by his appearance.
Tom’s long list of credits include work on Annihilation Conquest, Alpha Flight, Avengers Academy, Ultimate X-Men, and Uncanny X-Men for Marvel Comics, DV8, and Stormwatch for Image Comics, and Outsiders for DC Comics. Raney’s first paid work was Forgotten Realms for DC Comics. He is a graduate of the Joe Kubert School in Dover, NJ.

Artist Rags Morales (Avengers, Action Comics, Identity Crisis, JSA) appears at Dewey’s Comic City on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 5:30 PM!
Rags will be autographing copies his work, sketching, accepting commissions, and will have original art and prints for sale. A headshot sketch is $25 (well below convention prices), $10 for a black and white print and $20 for a color print. A variety of blank sketch covers will be available for purchase during his appearance. There is a limit of 5 autographed copies per person.

Artist Jamal Igle appears at Dewey’s Comic City on Saturday, October 15th from 1:00 – 3:00 PM to sign BLACK, the Kickstarter funded OGN project now being published by Black Mask Studios.
In a world that already hates and fears them – what if only Black people had superpowers? BLACK follows the story of a young man, Kareem Jenkins, who, having miraculously survived being shot by police, learns that he is part of the biggest lie in history. Now he must decide whether it’s safer to keep it a secret or if the truth will set him free. X-Men meets The Wire, BLACK’s Kickstarter blazed through Black History Month 2016 earning more than three time its funding goal.
A recipient of the 2011 Inkpot Award for outstanding achievement in Comic Art, Jamal is the writer/artist/Creator of Molly Danger for Action Lab Entertainment and the penciller of The Terminator: Enemy of My Enemy for Dark Horse Comics. His detailed pencils have graced books as varied as The Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglas, the all ages action miniseries “Race Against Time” as well as mainstream hits such as G.I. Joe, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Green Lantern. Jamal has served as the series artist for Firestorm the Nuclear Man, Nightwing and Tangent: Superman’s Reign, Superman, Supergirl and Zatanna for DC Comics, Noble Causes for Image Comics and a four issue run on New Warriors for Marvel Comics.
Along with Jamal’s impressive creative credits, he also does double duty as Director of Marketing and Publicity for Action Lab Entertainment.

March 22 marks the twentieth anniversary of Mike Mignola's career-defining release of Hellboy: Seed of Destruction #1. After the character's somewhat humble beginnings in an eight-page feature in Dark Horse's San Diego Comic-Con Comics special, Seed of Destruction would begin the long life of the beloved "beast of the apocalypse."
In December, Dark Horse declared that March 22, 2014, would be Hellboy Day, with events happening in comic shops around the world!
